JEWELS of GA, Inc. will present an engaging parent workshop to help spark conversations with adolescent girls (ages 9-14).
About the session:
A small team of researchers at Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health reached out to 3D Girls, Inc. to partner to bring awareness to puberty and adolescent health. They have spent the last 3 years conducting research with adolescent girls from diverse communities around the country to capture their stories and experiences of puberty and their first periods, and to understand the range of challenges they face and their most common questions.

The “Grow & Know” campaign provided our group with copies of the graphic novel style puberty book and a series of short-animated videos for girls ages 9-14 that provide factual information and guidance but also capture those real-life stories
