Summer Camp - Info Session

Join us Tuesday, May 16th at 6:00 PM on Zoom for an information session to learn more about the camp. We will discuss daily programming, student and parent expectations, S.T.E.A.M. and entrepreneurship pathways, volunteer opportunities, and more!
The Girls Link Up summer program targets rising 3rd-8th grade girls across Atlanta. Sessions will occur Monday – Friday from 8:00am – 6:00pm starting June 5, 2023 through June 30, 2023. Each day of the week is scheduled to incorporate elements of STEAM and Entreprenuership. Academic sessions occur during morning sessions, specifically focusing on improving math fluency and building reading skills using science in a contextual learning framework.
The Girls Link Up Summer Camp will support rising 3rd-8th grade girls. Our program supports the social and emotional needs of adolescent girls all while exposing and empowering them to pursue STEAM (science, technology, [entrepreneurship], arts, and math) pathways. We focus on bridging the learning gap by providing academic support in the mornings and cultural enrichment activities in the afternoons. This four week, full-day camp will be jam packed with hands-on activities, field trips and mentoring.
What is 3D Girls' Girls Link Up Summer Camp?
The 3D Girls Summer Camp is a 4-week program that specializes in the enrichment of young girls in order to support their social and emotional needs all while exposing them to S.T.E.A.M. and entrepreneurship.
What programs will the campers participate in?
The 3D Girls Summer Camp provides two pathways for enrichment during the afternoons. The S.T.E.A.M Pathway provides girls with a variety of hands-on and engaging activities. The Entrepreneur Pathway provides spark the interest of girls who want to start a business.
Where will the camp be located?
The camp will be held at Martin Luther King, Jr. located at 545 Hill St. Atlanta, GA 30312.
Is aftercare provided?
Yes. After camp care will be provided at King Middle School by Preferred Care. – This program is completely separate from 3D Girls, Inc. and will cost an additional cost of $70.00 per week.

Who can attend?
Rising 3rd – 8th grad girls are eligible to attend the camp.
Is transportation provided?
No. Parents and guardians are responsible for providing transportation to girls in the camp.
Attendance Policy
In order for participants to get the most out of our Girls Link Up Summer Camp experience, we obtain a strict attendance policy. Participants are allowed up to 3-days of excused absences throughout the four-week experience. Failure to comply with the attendance policy could revoke the right of participating in future activities and events.
Will there be any field trips?
Yes! There will be various field trips around the City of Atlanta. The girls will have a chance to travel to overnight Memphis, TN and attend The Black Girl Dream Conference June 9-10th.
Will meals be provided?
Yes! Campers will be provided lunch and snack throughout the day.
How do I apply?
Application access is only online via our website at www.3dgirlsinc.org. Parents who are requesting scholarships will be required to complete additional paperwork with verification documents.
Are there fees to participate?
Yes. Camp fees are $100 per week. We do have a scholarship program that will have a subsidized fee of $25 per week. Weekly camp fees are due the Friday before the following camp week. Camp fees are due by 4pm on the following days: June 1, June 9, June 16, and June 23.
What type of payments are accepted?
Both cash and online payments are accepted.
How can my daughter receive a scholarship to attend camp?
In order to qualify for a Girls Link Up Summer Camp scholarship the applicant must meet the income requirements. Families receive benefits or services under any of the programs listed below must provide verification for a scholarship:
A. Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)
B. Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) (also known as Food Stamps)
C. Medicaid or Social Security Income (SSI)
D. Reduced or free lunch program at school – Note: This eligibility is only for single youth eligibility.
This is not applicable if the entire school population is awarded free lunch in universal eligibility.
